Colonel Alexander Sidney Reid devoted ten years accumulating building materials for the Reid Green Lawrence Sichveland house during the 1840's before beginning construction. A magnificent example of well-preserved pre-civil war Greek Revival architecture completed during the 1850's, this structure is located at 205 North Lafayette Street in Eatonton -- approximately three blocks from downtown.

The house includes extensive gardens and landscaping over its three-acre site.
